Wood Workshop Fabricator
We are currently seeking a practical and enthusiastic person for this challenging and rewarding position.   The role of ‘Wood Workshop Fabricator’ will be varied and include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities; the fabrication of timber and wire units used for the construction of pheasant and partridge pens and the maintenance following disassembly of pens used this year. Maintenance of a wide variety of farm buildings and equipment. In addition you may be required to help with the construction of new buildings.  Experience in the use of general work tools and some power tools will be useful.  Further wood/metal fabrication may also be required with other projects on the farm.    You will be reliable, responsible and able to prioritise and manage tasks set.  This role will work both in a team and on occasions as an individual, it is important you are able to self motivate and complete tasks set within a reasonable time frame.  We offer a permanent, full time position. Salary will be dependant upon experience.

Carpenter/Builder
Following further expansion we are currently seeking a Carpenter/Builder to join our team.  This will be a full time permanent position. Working within our onsite workshop you will be responsible for the production of all timber products required for rearing game birds alongside all other carpentry and timber/steel handling projects around the farm.  The role will be varied with projects being dependent upon the current and approaching season.  This position will also be responsible for on going farm and hatchery maintenance and the project management of new building projects. Initially working in a team environment, with a long term objective of becoming responsible for the ordering, project time management and general running of the workshop.  We are looking for a reliable and conscientious person prepared to work on their own initiative with enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a sense of humour. The successful candidate must be able to take responsibility and work independently as well as part of a team. Salary to be discussed and will be dependent upon experience.  Due to our location candidates must be able to drive and have their own transport.  In the first instance please send CV or detailed email.

Agricultural Machine Operator
We are currently seeking a new member to join our team as an Agricultural Machine Operator.  Experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial ( Tractors and auxiliary implements, 5 tonne digger, Bobcats, Telehandler).  In addition we have specialist feeding systems on which you would be trained for our large laying flocks and also our free range turkeys. This role is to be responsible for the work which requires these tools/machines not their maintenance as this is handled by our onsite workshop.  As a Game bird and Poultry farm you could also have duties in the management and rearing of stock whether this be pheasant and partridges during the summer and turkeys during the Autumn if this is of interest. Working in a busy farm environment this role will be vary on a day to day basis with plenty of scope for the individual to take on responsibility.  Previous experience of working in a similar environment and or with a variety of agricultural machines would be beneficial as would any livestock management skills. Salary will be dependent upon experience and skills.

Game Farm Team Member
We are currently seeking new staff members to join our friendly team. Opportunities available for full time (6 days) staff. All new members will be trained for the next years spring and summer game bird rearing season when the role will include a wide variety of tasks:- egg collecting, egg washing, chick rearing, washing of farm equipment and buildings, assisting with team tasks and everyday general farm duties.  During the Autumn and Winter months you will be involved in the dismantling of rearing pens, maintenance of the same, assistance as part of a team of our winter stock birds and during December working on the production and processing of turkeys for Christmas. Role is available to start immediately.
