To be responsible for the day to day running of a busy farm office within a rural agricultural business.

The position will include

Book-Keeping and management of accounts

Payroll

General Office Administration

Project management of tasks specific to the company

You will have worked in a similar role with over 3 years experience in accounts management.  Accounting software skills such as Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll will be advantageous.  General computer based experience and knowledge will be essential. You will be required to manage your own time and would need to have strong organisational and communication skills with a professional telephone manner. Any farming knowledge/background may be advantageous. Full training will be provided.

Position to be either full time or part time with assistant.

Livestock Person Permanent Full Time Position

We are a busy and progressive business breeding and rearing Game Birds currently requiring a practical and enthusiastic person to fill this position.

Working within different teams you will be responsible for the rearing of pheasants and partridges from day old through to release age.  Daily management to include feeding and watering and help with weekly duties of moving birds, bitting and catching. 

You will have some stock rearing experience, be prepared to take responsibility and able to work alone or as part of a team.  An interesting and varied role, salary will be dependant upon experience.

Van/HGV Driver – Part-Time

We are looking for part time Van and HGV drivers for our summer season.  You would be required to deliver eggs, chicks and poults to estates around the country. Our customers range from Scotland to Cornwall and Suffolk to Wales therefore you would need to be happy with long distance driving. Generally one or two days per week during our busy summer season.  Salary dependent upon experience.

Trainee Livestock Manager Apprenticeship Scheme

We are currently seeking a Trainee Livestock Manager to join us on an Apprenticeship Scheme. 

About the Apprenticeship:  An apprenticeship is an excellent way of gaining qualifications and work experience at the same time.  By joining the scheme you will earn a wage, gain acknowledged qualifications and acquire valuable practical skills.  As an apprentice you will spend one day per week at college with the balance of the week working on the farm.

Whilst working you will receive on the job training in bird husbandry and management.  You will be involved in the daily care of over wintered stock birds, the distribution of pheasants and partridges in laying flocks and pairs, egg collection, attendance on hatch days, chick rearing, feeding, and other such duties as required to ensure the highest of welfare is maintained to all stock.

You will achieve a work-based learning qualification such as an NVQ Level 2.

For those who do not live locally we are able to offer accomodation. 

Although an apprentice position you will be paid a normal  wage in line with the current company pay scale.
